The scary adoption evils in Nigeria is now a common trend. There appears to be a trade in babies. This is similar to slavery. Many couples in

desperation for a child go to horrible means to get . Couples face pressure from a society that rates marriage on the basis of children. As a result,

babies become pawns in the scary transaction. This crazy trend makes kidnapping and selling of children lucrative. The scary evils of adoption

make children to be merchandise. People go to unspeakable lengths to acquire children for sale. This unspeakable act against humanity succeeds

for the love of money. Baby merchants are ready to provide merchandise for buyers. What a sorry situation. However, there is truly a legal process of adoption.

The Adoption Process:

Do not rush into Adoption. It is a stage by stage process. Many adopters feel the process is too long . Therefore, they cut corners and

indulge in bad things. The completion of the process gives legal standing for adoption. Instead of paying heavily for illegal deals, do the right thing.

There are many babies and infants that have been adopted in Nigeria. These children are now in families that may not know the background of

the child. Some have no medical history. This is as a result of false sourcing. Many children are illegally traded off to desperate men and women who

pose as parents. Sometimes these parents are unfit to raise children. Such children are at the mercy of strangers who never commit emotionally to

love them. The means of adopting children in Nigeria mocks the principle. It is a sad situation. Children are ‘bought’ like merchandise. Money

exchanges hands, even when it should not. Even when it is legal, money exchanges hands and these children are still the merchandise. The social

workers, judiciary, parents, are all complicit in this mayhem. Children have more value than money. There are some unwholesome means of getting children into adoption. Indeed, there are scary adoption evils in Nigeria.

1. Adoption of Stolen Babies

First are the stolen babies. Babies are stolen from hospitals, homes and even churches. These babies are pawns for adoption. The perpetrators of

this evil lurk in all corners of the society. Even right inside our homes. For instance, some Nannies run off with babies kept in their care. This is bad

news. Yet, this happens regularly. Often we read about persons caught with stolen children. This real .Not only babies are stolen but children in general

are kidnapped and sold to desperate couples in quest of children.

2. Adoption from a Switch at Birth

Secondly, the adoption of babies goes on without confirming the source. As a result of the population of women giving birth, babies can be mixed up.

Sometimes it is deliberate. Hospital workers switch babies just to give them out to desperate clients who want babies. Some women go home with

babies that are not theirs. While their real babies are in the hands of mothers that are not theirs. For example, a dead baby is handed to another

woman while her male child was taken and sold. Sex selection also encourages this type of switch.

Thirdly, many twins are not twins. They are two babies put together as twins. When couples ask for twins from ‘agents’ , they create twins for

them. These evil agents collect two babies from two different women and sell them as twins. So you get twins who in future have no biological

relationship. For example, none of them can donate biological cells to save the other. Parents , do you know the twins you have at home. Or did you act

out of desperation? Such twins are mainly boy and girl. Attempts to balance the longing for male and female children. All in the quest for

babies, we ignore evil. In fact, investigate babies before adoption.

4. Adoption of Harvested Babies from Baby factories

Fourthly, production of babies for commerce is common. It is sad. Some people have homes where babies are made for sale. However, the

government is fighting to close them. But success rate may never be known. It is most unfortunate that children are traded like tomatoes and onions.

Fifthly, children are adopted by people who want them as future househelps. These are children that are up to the age of 7 and above.

Nevertheless, the society is unbelievably filthy with evil against children. Women sell their babies just to get rich. It is worrisome that many children

in homes today, are not who the parents think they are. The origins are questionable. Their true identities are false. They may never know their

real identities.This evil wind is here with us and we must do everything to stop it. Failure to do that creates adults who in future may have no medical
